Bayou Oaks City Park North Course
About
Golf has been played at City Park since 1902 when the nine-hole New Orleans Golf Club opened. At the time it was one of only 80 golf courses in the country. There were four 18-hole courses at the complex before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The North Course was rebuilt in 2009 and now there is also a 36-hole mini-golf complex. The course is just over 5,400 yards from the back tees and features water on eight holes. Proper club selection is the key to scoring well on this layout. The golf course is popular among both locals and visitors because it's not only player friendly enough to accommodate all skill levels but its location is also easily accessible from anywhere in New Orleans. The affordable rates make it even more appealing and there's also a 74-stall driving range.

Reviews
Easy winter course
Everything is dead so you can actually play rhe course. Greens don’t look like a jungle.
Course is in terrible shape the greens are in bad shape should be in line with Joe Bartholomew but not all city park is worried about is high-dollar South course
Overbooked
When I got to the 1st tee there were 5 or 6 groups of 4 to 5 people each waiting. I went and played the back 9 first since that was wide open and when I got back to the 1st tee it was clear. But by the time I finished the first hole there were a group in 2 tee, 2 green, 3 tee, 3 fairway, and 3 green so I turned around and left. Poor job booking and scheduling
Hi, please understand that we do offer tee times to the north course but more than 90% of our rounds are walkups which can create a delay at the first tee since we honor tee times first.
Neglected greens need work
First time at City Park North since July. Greens are in terrible condition. Bunkers have been filled with fresh sand and they are in much better conditions than the greens.
Not surprising since the South course gets all of the attention.
Good fun
Great course for the money, greens r good layout is fun. Had great time
Thank you for playing the North course!
This course has taken very obvious strides in improving the North Course. While this used to be a strictly cheap option, it has become more of a value option. It is used to be in laughably bad condition and ignored, and now it is impossible to pass up with regards to the price.
Thank you for playing the north course!
Goat ranch...
It’s a shame they don’t maintain this course. It could be very nice !
As it is, the greens and fairways are horrible.
Was wrongly charged a no-show fee
Golfnow wrongly charged me a no-show fee. I have called and emailed. Golfnow claims to have live chat support but that is a lie.
Hi! We're happy to work with Golfnow to look into this for you. Please call the golf shop to discuss with our team at 504-483-9410.
Fun Cheap course
The greens are never really in good condition. Nice open fairways. Overall good time. If you want a nicer course just play the south course.
Thank you for playing the north course
North course after hurricane week
The fairways were good, the greens were bad as usual, a lot of grass patches on the greens
Decent course
It’s one of an affordable public course for the residents, but the people that play on this course has no etiquettes.. often seen group of five and doesn’t let other ppl play through. The course condition is below decent. It’s rare to see the course in good condition. Overall it’s a good course if you just got into golf or just want to practice your golf game. Greens are slow. I’m not complaining about the course, you get what you paid for.
Thank you for playing the north course.
Thank you for the nice review and for playing the North course!
Sorry, everything is dormant
Thank you for playing the north course. Please understand that dormant grass is quite different from dead grass!
