Good value
Great course for beginners as the fairways are very forgiving and the roughs are pretty easy to get out of. The greens were in rough shape when we went, but for $26 on a Friday morning, it was hard to complain. The carts have GPS tracking which only added to the value. Overall a fun course to play, and I would definitely play there again. If you're not picky about the greens, you cant go wrong with this course.
Great staff and good value
The staff were all very friendly. There was a Marshall out making sure the pace was acceptable. They have changed up a few holes on the back-9 which made it tricky to know the distances and the golf app I use (Golf Logix) was all over the place for those 3 holes but, otherwise, the course played well today.
Great Customer service
Customer service was great got there 45 minutes early I was a single player and they let me go early great customer service
Great city course
This is a great city course in center of city. Excellent walking rates. Course in fantastic shape. A few greens need a little work. But overall this course is long and fun.
Great day, but hot!
The staff were so friendly and supportive! I enjoyed the course and we ultimately had a great day even though it was hot and humid! That’s Memphis!
Course in Ready. Challenging & Friendly
This is my go to course! I know I can get on for a cheap price and get my money's worth! Greens are slow but fairways are in good shape. Course is in good shape! A Memphis jewel!
Great value for a nice course.
Wide open fairways, nice greens, and really fast paced course. Great for beginners to practice off the tee with not much water and wide cut fairways.
Great Course for the Price
We had to walk instead of ride in carts due to COVID-19, and the greens were a little rough, but overall the course was great for the price ($12/person after tax). It’s a nice, open layout with plenty of room for error while still being able to find your ball. I would recommend this course if you’re looking to have a good time, not play a super competitive round.
Best value around
You can get better deals on nicer courses through Golfnow, but their base rates are unbeatable for the quality of golf Pinehill offers. Great course design that challenges you but leaves some room for error. It's usually wide open and most holes are well maintained. The folks in the clubhouse are friendly and the gas powered golf carts add some nostalgia.
Nice track
Growing to like the parkland style courses. This is a real nice layout. Wish they would put some $ into the greens as some had a significant amount of crabgrass. Memphis needs to put money into this course because the layout is really nice. Love how the big trees frame the fairways.
Good value
Good course. Except for a couple of greens, the golf course is in good shape. Good value.
Nicq
Course itself is nice but clippings from grass were thick. Nice layout and some challenging holes, play from the tips no matter what
Decent Muni
Good course for a beginner or struggling player as it is wide open with only a couple of ball eating holes. For a muni, it is not a bad course fairways are on the hard side but maintained, the rough is manageable, most of the greens are in good shape, and typical muni hard pan sand traps. If you are a walker the course is very walkable with only three holes having a somewhat extended walk between green and tee. The clubhouse is basic with only snack food, so don't come hungry. Overall, an easygoing course for those who are not persnickety.
Nice course
Above avg. City course. Nice layout challenging. But grass in first cut needs to be cut lower
Good value, 3-star overall
Good value at $25 for 18 w/ cart on a Sunday afternoon. The conditions were typical for a municipal course. They need more staff for weekends. There were 3 guys working, 2 in the pro shop and 1 doing carts. I had a tee time as a single but they let a group of FIVE tee off ahead of me? Ended up starting on the 2nd hole and that 5some was 4 holes behind me when I turned at #9. Please have a course marshall out there!
